Asian Marinade for Tofu

Marinate your tofu, or your chicken, in this delicious vegan Asian marinade.



  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce;
  • 2 tbsp. hoisin sauce;
  • 1 ½ tsp. ketchup;
  • 1 ½ tsp. mirin
  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup or brown sugar;
  • 1 tbsp. sambal oelek;
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced;
  • 2 tbsp. chopped fresh ginger;
  • 1 tsp. Olive Pressée Rice Vinegar


  1. Wrap the tofu in a paper towel and place a heavy object or a tofu press over your wrapped tofu for 15 minutes to squeeze out excess water.
  2. Meanwhile, mix all the marinade ingredients together.
  3. Place the tofu and marinade in a bowl and cover the tofu. Marinate for 24 to 72 hours.
